For the project on to Illustrate the word
"ILLUSTRATION AND VISUAL NARRATIVE"
i have gone with the idea of paper cut-out
and i've gotten inspiration from this
And so, i sketch out my idea in a sketch book
The reason i kept it simple is to make it easier to see the effect later on.
And generally i am the type to go forth with minimalism.
So below, i placed a photo of my sketch onto Illustrator,
To make my work easier, i found a font that was the closest to how i sketched it out.
I used pathfinder to divided the letters from the group to make it easier for me to edit them individually.
As well as adjust the composition.
Next, using pentool, i made the highlights, or the outline where i'll cut later when i print it out.
This is how it looks like when i finished with the outlines
And this is how it looks like when i leave the cut-out template.
And i cut that out.
AND for presentation,
Chin Ting commented that, although she liked my idea and thought it was rather clever and playing with the whole hide and reveal, PEEK- A - Boo theme thing. she would have preferred the typeface to have been bigger.
i kinda agree though. hahaha
